The National Toy Hall of Fame, housed at Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, N.Y., recognizes toys that have inspired creative play and enjoyed popularity over a long time. To date, 46 toys have made it into the National Toy Hall of Fame. Here they are:
Barbie
First introduced in 1959, the world's best-known doll started out as a teenage fashion model, but has had numerous careers. She has endured disapproval for creating unrealistic body images for girls and spawning eating disorders. Don't hate her 'cause she's beautiful.
