“House of Cars: Innovation and the Parking Garage,” a national exhibit, includes Detroit gems
Cars park beneath the ornate ornamental ceiling of the formerly-glorious Michigan Theatre on Aug. 4, 2009. The incredible structure that was once an elegant movie palace is included in a current exhibit “House of Cars: Innovation and the Parking Garage” at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. The show examines the relationship between these motion machines and the "built environment."
